helviragoIn fanfiction news, I really did love the Remus/Sirius ship. And then I read bunches of stories, and saw brief summaries of even more, and now... well, it's like when I was eight and went to a seder and ate so much charoset that for literally months afterward the very idea of apples and cinammon in any combination made me queasy. I just can't do it anymore. But while I was dabbling, I got hooked into the fandom, and now I'm deep into the Harry/Draco and, dare I say, Harry/Snape. I'm not proud. I can admit it.
Finally, just because I thought of it: What are your favorite movie scenes? Me, I loved the Zero Effect, despite Ben Stiller's presence. I love Bill Pullman, and there's a love scene with Nick Cave's "Into My Arms." Anyone else seen it? For some reason, that love scene stands out for me as really memorably sexy, despite its being, well, not. But Pullman's character finds human attention so alien, and particularly female attention, physical attention, that the whole thing is... I don't know. Just saying. So what makes scenes stick in your head?
Now I'm off for crosswords and attempted sleep. Wish me well, and vibe me self-confidence and physical coolness (I find myself overheating easily these days, and I don't want sweatiness on top of all my other mass-of-high-school-students-related nervousness).
