Went out of town for a bit. Was fun, though tiring. Was definitely good to get gone, but I wish it'd been for longer.
A wee bit of proselytizing: Human Rights Campaign is looking for 250,000 emails to senators to oppose the Constitutional amendment which would define marriage as between a man and a woman, which I believe is code for "Aaah! Gays! Ew!"
I'm sort of joking -- I realize there are people who oppose gay marriage on grounds other than "Ew!" but I'm a bit sick of this whole debate, honestly. It's bringing some stuff out into the light, which is good, but in that "keep squeezing out the pus until it's gone" way.
Spurring my decision to spam my flist with this is the lovely Ohio ad, which not only casts gay couples as innately bad child-raisers but also manages to insult every single parent ever. Nice one, guys. You just keep up the good work, and pretty soon you'll have offended not only near every parent, but near every person who ever had parents.
Ooh, that burns my brownies.
